I'm very sorry for this short excuse of a page *cries* to turn it into jpeg I had to keep it this size because it was almost exceeding 30.000 pixel so yah... the Flashback continues and hopefully ends in page 4, where page 5 will continue on in the present time. I included recent things to the doujin which won't change the storyline and with that I will crawl back in my cave and hide becausei'mreallytooscaredtohangaroundandlookatthisrushedpageififindanyflawsineedtochangerightnowi'llfaint  Not to mention that I had to redraw the whole thing because as some of you noticed, the first file became corrupted.

IMPORTANT

As I said to a reviewer....

This is set 4 months prior to the present timeline, and hopefully it will clear some things up for those who are confused. I wasn't initially going to explain everything with a flashback but so many people seemed confused so I thought it was neccesary. Sasuke is a pessimist and tends to misunderstand, so he thinks Naruto is just flirting around. This means he thinks Naruto's confession to him is basically a hoax to just make him feel like he's needed. The Sasuke in the past has lost all motivation to make something of himself hence Sakura mentioning that he needs to do the jounin exam and start blending in with the rest of the village, and since Naruto is the only one he really talks to, both her and Ino are ganging up on him. I thought it would be true to canon to keep Sasuke this way because, seeing as all his life he's done nothing but chase his brother and let darkness consume him, I just don't see how he can immediately return to any sort of peaceful idyllic life that the village offers.

All this leads to Sasuke not really thinking anything of Naruto's confession and thus has come to ignore his feelings, which in turn makes Naruto think that Sasuke really doesn't like him that way. And well, he's Naruto so of course he's a stubborn, clueless oaf.

Sasuke's eyes is nothing serious, it's more like a vision that signifies the psychological pain that is still tormenting him. He's damaged from the war and hasn't had the time nor right conditions to accept reality as it is, and just heal. I was still going to do this before he achieved the rinnegan etc, so it fit in nicely.</i>

Short Explanation of what happened in the previous pages so far:

Pg. 1 - Sasuke hears of Naruto's return from Kiba and Hinata after having Sai questioning his troubled relationship with Naruto. Sasuke rushes home despite a message from Naruto, telling him that he'll visit him the day after. He finds Naruto asleep, next to Sakura.

Pg. 2 - Hurt by seeing Naruto sleeping next to their old teamate, Sasuke doesn't sense the real Naruto sneaking up on him from behind. He ends up biting Naruto and is dragged away and confronted about his late night visit. When asking about Sakura, Naruto turns cold and says he has no right to demand any answers from him, because they are not actually in a relationship. This surprises Sasuke because Naruto confessed to him not so long ago...and he realizes that there's a few things he may have overlooked.
